About the club
The association was founded in autumn 2011 by some triathlon enthusiasts in Åland. The association has grown and has today it has some fifty members.
The aim of the association is to promote triathlon in Åland, and to contribute to increase the number of successful triathletes in a genuine and healthy sporting spirit. The long-term goal for the club is to train athletes to achieve international success, i.e. through The Island Games. The master class will also endeavor club to participate in national competitions where success is measured in both placement and social interaction.
In 2016 the association also became a member of the Finnish Bike Union and is now a official bike club.
The association mainly uses Facebook as a communication platform. Group Åland Triathlon Club, ÅTRI is open on Facebook for all to participate.
